So since quarantine started every student had use google classroom to continue school but there just one problem most kids aren’t finishing their school work. Some may say it's too long or they didn’t learn it, while it's true teachers aren’t able to get lessons as fast as they could before covid-19 its still no excuse as to why the work is not done. As a high school student myself I'm going to a few ways on how you or kid could start completing all of their assignments.
Number one the I don’t know this B.S.
When a child says that it's either they stopped paying attention in class or they're just not getting in their heads. You can always try to teach it to them yourself but sometimes you might be able to because everyone has a style of learning at different rates. But there something that my little sister likes to say when you don’t know something, use google. There plenty of sites where you can get the answer or actually learn the topic like Kahn academy with math or brainly with English and science. While you could just get your answer and be done with it you could also write down the question and answer and just study it until it's just second nature. Another way to find your answer is to just simply look up the question because then you’ll find your answer most of the time. And if your scared of plagiarism then just rephrase it in your own words cause then you can’t get in trouble with your teacher.
Number two its too long
Yes, there are some teachers that give those long assignments or them packets, If your lucky your teacher might say you don’t have to do certain pages but also it could be tomorrow's classwork because the teacher needs to know how much the student progressed. Now if you aren’t lucky look when it's due and paste yourself. If you're like me you won’t stop until it's done because you want it done sooner or later which can go a long way especially when you start working only thing is not a lot of people are like me at all commonly student wait for the last moment to finish things giving themselves that unnecessary and totally avoidable stress. Now you may ask what were you doing that could’ve been so important was it the game television or going out with some friends etc. Maybe you just needed a break from zoom because you got a headache from staring at the screen for so long which is understandable but you got carried away because schoolwork is so boring. There are two ways to avoid this number one put an alarm on so when it goes off it's a personal reminder to finish your work and please don’t ignore it. The next one is take the break but don’t leave your desk or your laptop, If your wondering why I said don’t leave the desk or your laptop is because if you leave your workspace you might lose your working mood so if you have to take a break on the laptop by maybe playing a game on the internet or listen to music or maybe watch a few youtube videos but always remember to get back to work after a little while or put a timer on your laptop.
Number three have a goal or want something
Now, this one is mainly for high school students but it might help you in college I don’t know but the reason why I'm saying this because right now you're at home and you can only get exams through the internet but what if I said you don’t have to take the exam. I hope that caught your eye because if the regents or state exam gets canceled which is a fifty percent chance for June regents. The reason why I'm bringing this up is that most kids aren’t learning as much as they did in school literally and I can relate because online teaching isn’t that much efficient but we have to make the best of what we got, you might say you study more on your off time but if you can’t learn one little thing in zoom class then what’s the damn point its just a waste of time. It could be the reason why your kid isn’t going to zoom class or you yourself. These are reasons why the regents can’t and shouldn’t be administered because we’ll end up failing which is why you should want to avoid it by getting or keeping your grades up because to make sure you can get promoted because teachers would have to give out a mastery exam most likely. Now if you keep at least an eighty in their class you should exempt from taking it. The next thing is if you want something like the Playstation 5 or maybe those pair of Nikes keeping those grades could really get you them when you ask your parents or maybe getting a part-time job would work since it's your money but if there's one thing your parents care about most is them grades so if you want those things and you live under your parent's roof keep them grade up cause then what can they say you're doing wrong.
